Content Server Profile Cleared On Full Update Form (Doc ID 2210702.1)

Last updated on APRIL 10, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle WebCenter Content - Version 11.1.1.8.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On 11.1.1.8 instance, it is found that an item checked-in with a Content Server profile (value in xIdcProfile) is then updated via content actions and Full Update is selected - the value in xIdcProfile is cleared out. User may or may not notice this and save file. Then when viewing content info screen the profile is no longer applied.

Issue can be reproduced by executing following steps:-

1. Create a Profile that uses a Rule action activation condition for - check-in new, check-in selected, content info and content update.
2. Do a new check-in using the profile from previous step.
3. Once checked-in, navigate to Content Info / Content Actions/ Update / Full Update Form.
4. The profile used to check-in the content is not populated and when updates are submitted, Content Information page does not show the profile (used for check-in) being applied.

Browser versions tested on:
Chrome - Version 49.0.2623.110 m - success (populates the profile)
Internet Explorer - 11.0.9600.18230CO - failed
FireFox - ESR 38.6.1 and ESR 38.7.1 - failed

Expected Result:
When submitting updates on a content checked in by a profile from Content Info / Content Actions/ Update / Full Update Form, the profile should be populated on the update form.

Actual Result:
On MLR15 (MLR08 and MLR14 also reported), the profile is NOT populated on the update form.

Business Impact:
The Content Information page does not show the profile being applied.
