How to Find DIP Certification Information (Doc ID 2212208.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 30, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Directory Server Enterprise Edition - Version 5.2 and later
Oracle Unified Directory - Version 11.1.1.5.0 and later
Oracle Internet Directory - Version 11.1.1.6.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

The MOS Certification tab does not have current Directory Integration Platform (DIP) 11g certification information, whereas the Fusion Middleware (FMW) 11g Certification Matrix spreadsheet has info about DIP certification.

Note: The MOS Certification Tool (Certification Tab in MOS) and the Certification Matrix are not always up-to-date and in sync with each other.
The authoritative source of these different certification sources is the newest (or most encompassing of newer versions).

DIP 12c certification information is not listed in the Oracle Fusion Middleware 12c Certification Matrix, and is not included in the MOS Certification tab.

This KM article has been created to clear up any confusion between the two certification information sources, and to point out where to find accurate DIP 11g/12c Certification information.

Note: To find DIP certification versions, the OID version has to be checked in the Certification Matrix / Certification Tab since DIP installation is included in the installation for OID.
There is an assumption that if looking at the Certification Matrix for a specific version (or searching a specific version in the Certification tab) that the specific version (that is being searched) is certified.

Example - A search in the Certification Tab for OID 12.2.1.3.0, will not include version 12.2.1.3.0 for Oracle Internet Directory under Directory/LDAP Services since it is assumed that OID 12.2.1.3.0 (the version that is being searched) is certified.

So the screenshot (above) shows that OID 12.2.1.3 (as well as OID 11.1.1.7.0, 11.1.1.9.0 and 12.2.1.4.0) are certified as an Directory/LDAP Server for DIP 12.2.1.3.0 (since for DIP it is assumed Oracle Internet Directory version applies to the DIP version) even though version 12.2.1.3.0 is not listed (since the search was for version 12.2.1.3.0).
