ldapbind in SSL Port fails Through Load Balancer with error sgslufread: Hard error on read, OS error = 104 (Doc ID 2215276.1)

Symptoms

ldapbind fails to ssl port through load balancer host

The physical host name works with a secure port 636 bind. The load balanced alias hostname does not work with a secure port 636 bind.

The following is from a bind of both.

$ORACLE_HOME/bin/ldapbind -h example.oracle.com -p 636 -U 1
bind successful

$ORACLE_HOME/bin/ldapbind -h lbrhost.oracle.com  -p 636 -U 1
sgslufread: Hard error on read, OS error = 104
