"User doesn't exist in OIM" Error During Recon Of User Updates Using PSFT ER Connector

Using PSFT ER 126.96.36.199.0 connector and one has Employee Number attribute in OIM and also has written custom logic (first name+last name Combination) to create user IDs in OIM. Also one is using "Employee Number" as key field than "User ID". When full trusted recon with PSFT ER connector is run, users get created in OIM with custom User IDs and user's Employee number in OIM is updated with Employee Number of PSFT.
But when one of the already reconciled user is updated in PSFT, the same change fails to get reconciled by PSFT ER Recon job in OIM and following error is seen in the log:
