Last updated on DECEMBER 22, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Platform Security for Java - Version 12.2.1.2.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

As per documentation:

Fusion Middleware Tuning Performance Guide
8 Tuning Oracle Fusion Middleware Security
( https://docs.oracle.com/middleware/12212/lcm/ASPER/GUID-459346DC-7E04-4875-8B22-D72D96D94641.htm#ASPER99327 )

oracle.security.jps.policystore.rolemember.user.cache.enable does not appear in the table of the documentation and it always turns to FALSE this property when saving the changes through EM.

Is there any intended reason for oracle.security.jps.policystore.rolemember.user.cache.enable being FALSE? It really disables the "oracle.security.jps.policystore.rolemember.user.cache.size" value?

By the other hand next document explains a tuning increasing the Rolemember cache for WebCenter Portal.

Fusion Middleware Tuning Performance Guide
22 Tuning Oracle WebCenter Portal
22.4.8 Tuning Policy Store Parameters

That documentation says to set:

"..
Set oracle.security.jps.policystore.rolemember.cache.warmup.enable to True
Modify oracle.security.jps.policystore.rolemember.cache.size based on the number of active portals in your WebCenter Portal deployment.

NOTE: Only modify this parameter if your WebCenter Portal deployment expects to have more than 3000 active portals.
Set oracle.security.jps.policystore.policy.cache.size to 5 times the expected number of portals.
.."

But, does the FALSE value not work in to ignore these other parameters?

It is need it more information on oracle.security.jps.policystore.rolemember.user.cache.enable.
