Last updated on AUGUST 21, 2023

Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

According to documentation (http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E29542_01/doc.1111/e29632/sitecapture_installsc.htm#WBCSI834), for a clustered installation the "Sites Capture installation directory must be a shared directory, accessible to all other cluster members."

1. Is there a way to have the actual application files stored in a node-specific folder while crawler folder (with all the archives, logs and crawler configuration files) are stored in a shared location?

2. Is there a way to achieve this with a configuration change or symlinks implementation?

3. Is it possible to change the generic /_admin context to something more specific?  Are there any hard-coded calls to /_admin ?

4. Is the crawler directory the only thing needed to be shared using symbolic links?
