404 Not Found When Ords.war Is Renamed to Apex.war On WebLogic Server (Doc ID 2224534.1)

Symptoms

When following the steps as per the document to rename the 3.0 WAR file for backward compatibility, ORDS deployment is not working and returns the following error:

As soon as apex.war is renamed back to ords.war and redeployed everything runs successfully.
