Apex 5.0 "Top Applications" Links Are Broken (Doc ID 2225075.1)

After logging into an Apex workspace using ORDS on Tomcat, it show a list of applications that have been "touched" recently. Clicking the link for an application produces a blank page. The web server logs indicate an invalid character in the hyperlink. There is a pipe character "|" in the next-to-last character position that seems to be the source of the problem. Here's an example of a bad link:


If you remove the last 3 characters, or just the "|", then the links works properly. I can also successfully navigate to the application via the large Application Builder icon.
This error does not occur for ORDS standalone or other ORDS / Webserver deployments.

- The failure is specific to Tomcat 7.0.73.
- The failure does not occur with Tomcat 7.0.70.
