Last updated on APRIL 18, 2024

Applies to:

Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When using webMethods to send documents to WebCenter Content: Imaging using the DocumentContentService and DocumentService, intermittently the below error is returned which results in CreateDocument failing:

Invalid Token error

Here are the steps:

1. Use the Login wsdl to login and create the session.
2. Call the DocumentContentService/uploadDocument service passing the File, and get the returning uploadToken.
3. Using the Token, call the DocumentService/CreateDocument service to pass the token which returns the DocumentID.
4. The DocumentID is used to update the document with additional Metadata using documentService/updateDocument.

For the most part, this works but occasionally, it fails.  What can cause this?

Changes

Inserting a Load Balancer between the Client and the Server, implementing an HA environment.
