How to Reduce Number Of Connections to Analytics Sensor when Recommendations are Used (Doc ID 2232400.1)

Our website landing page uses 4 recommendations. Based on the Analytics Server documentation, we need to make two sensors calls/requests for each Recommendation.
Therefore, there are total of 8 sensors calls, which means there are 8 additional connections required just for capturing analytics data.
Is there a way to reduce the number of connections required as this is too much and affected end user experiences?
