Compared the execution time of the new AssetReader API and the legacy Asset API, for example:

New AssetReader API - .selectAll(true) vs Legacy Asset API - AssetDataManager.read(AssetId x)
New AssetReader API - .select(attr1, attr2) vs Legacy Asset API - AssetDataManager.readAttributes(AssetId x, Arrays.asList(attr1, attr2))

, it seems that the new AssetReader API is taking longer to read assets. Why is that?
