Symptoms

A transaction is committed when executed using Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) 12.2.1.x even though the IKM COMMIT option is set to FALSE. This works correctly in ODI 12.1.3.

For instance, in a mapping which is using IKM Oracle Incremental Update and setting option COMMIT=FALSE and including this mapping as part of a package, if for some reason the package doesn't complete successfully, the transaction is expected to rollback when COMMIT=FALSE. On the other hand, if the COMMIT=TRUE then the mapping result is kept regardless of package failure.

In 12.2.1.x COMMIT=FALSE is ignored and the transaction is committed.

This issue varies depending on the type of IKM, and it has been confirmed for the IKM Oracle xxxx:
"IKM Oracle Control Append"
"IKM Oracle Incremental Update"
