Oracle Traffic Director (OTD 11g) Decodes Encoded characters in URL Path (Doc ID 2240356.1)

Symptoms

Application accesses a REST resource through a specific URI. This URI contains encoded values such as /. When accessing the URI directly on Webogic server it works properly. When accessing the same URI through OTD to Weblogic server, the URI is changed and the encoded characters are decoded.

For example, the original request is:

As you can see  / which is an encoded slash (/) has been decoded as normal slash (/).
