Applies to:

Oracle Internet Directory - Version 11.1.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

To migrate from two old Oracle Internet Directory (OID) 11g servers (e.g., <OLD_HOSTNAME1> and <OLD_HOSTNAME2>) to two new OID servers (<NEW_HOSTNAME1> and <NEW_HOSTNAME2>), a Directory Replication Group (DRG) was created using Enterprise Manager (EM) 11g Fusion Middleware (FMW) Control.

After migrating all data from the old OID directories to the new OID directories using replication, the old servers were removed from the DRG and shutdown using EM 11g FMW Control.

However, the following errors were logged in the oidrepld*.log of <NEW_HOSTNAME1>

The errors show that <NEW_HOSTNAME1> OID was still trying to contact <OLD_HOSTNAME2> OID despite the fact that <OLD_HOSTNAME2> was no longer part of the DRG.
