Exalogic: Exapatch Precheck Fails When ZFSSA URI Contains '$' Character During Patching vServer (Doc ID 2252782.1)

Symptoms

In Exalogic Virtual racks, with Exapatch version 1.2.10 running following Exapatch command to do precheck on vServer (as part of October 2016 PSU upgrade) fails error saying that ZFSSA URL is not accessible from vServer.

In this case there is a $ (dollar) character in the ZFSSA root password. In the example in this Note, the Exapatch precheck command was executed as follows:
