Symptoms

Managing remote server from Administration Console failed with "the Node Manager associated with machine xxx is not reachable" error.

Changes

Created a managed server template using the pack command and installed to remote host using unpack command following this documentation:

Able to start the remote managed server using startManagedWebLogic.sh or wlst.
