OID 11g orclenablegroupcache Parameter for Group Cache is Enable but Entry Changes are Slow to Reflect or Become Visible on the Other / Second OID Node (Doc ID 2256229.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 14, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Internet Directory - Version 11.1.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Two Oracle Internet Directory (OID) 11g servers in High Availability (HA).

The parameter orclenablegroupcache is set to enabled.

When adding a user to a group and then running an ldapsearch to find the unique members of the group, on one OID node the user is immediately visible, but on the other node it takes a while before it becomes visible.

How frequently is this cache refreshed, and can this be influenced? How can the cache be refreshed manually?
