Goal

Oracle Access Manager 11g - Best Practice for Manually Updating the oam-config.xml File

As described in some various OAM notes, the user is instructed to manually update the oam-config.xml file. Thist is Certified/Supported to editing oam-config.xml directly, but it has to be done in a very specific manner, and should only be done when directed by Oracle Support. This will work for most cases, but does have some potential for the other oam managed servers in the cluster oam-config.xml file to get out of sync or even possibly corrupted.
