Incorrect Reporting of Pending Changes After Initially Populating ODI Repository from VCS (Doc ID 2273656.1)

Last updated on MAY 19, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Data Integrator - Version 12.2.1.2.6 to 12.2.1.2.8 [Release 12c]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

In Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) 12.2.1.2.6, after populating a "branch" Work Repository (WR) from Version Control System (VCS) (ODI Studio > Team > VCS Actions > Populate ODI Repository from VCS), when selecting "Pending Changes", the list includes all objects, even though none have been modified since the WR was populated from VCS.

To reproduce the issue:

Have a Repository that is configured as TRUNK in SVN. Tag and Branch have been created in SVN.

    1. In ODI branch repository using ODI Studio: Team - VCS Actions - Populate ODI Repository from VCS
The issue reproduces with branches created from Partial tag and / or Full tag.

    2. Once the branch repository is populated, select: Team > VCS Actions > Pending Changes
Observe that all objects appear in the list. This is the unexpected behavior. The list should be empty as there were no changes.

    3. Select one object and click on "Compare with last version" icon.
Observe that ODI reports "No difference found", which is correct.

    4. Click on "Create version" icon and follow the screen to create version.
"Include Dependencies" and "Regenerate and Version Scenarios" are not selected.
Observe that there are no objects in the list of "Pending Changes" .
