Edit In Batch Mode In A View Replaces * With | (Doc ID 2274537.1)

Last updated on APRIL 15, 2024

Oracle WebCenter Content - Version 12.2.1.2.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On : 12.2.1.2.0 version, Content Server

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------
During editing a view via Configuration Manager, edit in batch mode in a view replaces * (wildcard) with | (pipe)

If we put in a value in a view like this (configuration manager):
WELCOME.LETTER*DE

it will save using the normal add views button.

However, if we add this into 'edit batch' mode it will save, but change the character to a pipe ('|'). Then, when you edit batch again you get a column error because it is a delimiter for columns and the data is now corrupted and invalid.

The workaround is to delete the item manually and add it not using the edit batch feature.
