Symptoms

An access control list is an explicit list of individuals or groups with permission to access or interact with specific content.

Depending on how access control list security is configured, up to three additional fields are available for use when adding, modifying, or searching for documents (content):

  • User Access List

  • Group Access List

  • Role Access List

Unlike roles and accounts, ACLs do not require an associated LDAP group.

  1. Checked in a document via Managed Attachments
  2. Viewed document without issue
  3. Enabled ACL in WCC following:  How To Enable ACL By UCM Group. (Doc ID 2091046.1)
    • Configuration:
      SpecialAuthGroups=SOP_HRFILES_REQUEST
      AccessListPrivilegesGrantedWhenEmpty=false
  4. Attempt to view document - cannot see it
  5. Manually added a user into the ACL for the document
  6. Viewed document without issue
    • CONCLSION:  AFDocuments is being included as a SpecialAuthGroups (do not have it in the configured list)
