404 Error When Vanity URL is Requested from WebServer Even Though lookuphost and lookuppage are correct (Doc ID 2281355.1)

Symptoms

When trying to navigate to a Vanity URL via the web server, a 404 is hit.

Reviewing the access logs from Sites shows that the lookuphost and lookuppage in the request is correct for a valid vanity url.
