Applies to:
Oracle Tuxedo - Version 11.1.1.3.0 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Goal
Tuxedo 11g application, on IBM AIX environment, that accesses an Oracle RAC Database 11g with two nodes.
The client is encountering the ORA-00018 error, in the database, forcing it to shutdown one of the nodes. The error is generated by a large number of sessions originating from Tuxedo (most of them in the IDLE state).
Is there a way in the Tuxedo configuration to limit the maximum number of connections that an application server in the Tuxedo domain can open with the database?
