Symptoms
Application using JDBC is unable to connect to database server through SSL listener, resulting in the following error:
oracle.net.ns.NetException: Unexpected NA Packet Type received
at oracle.net.ano.AnoComm.a(Unknown Source)
at oracle.net.ano.AnoComm.e(Unknown Source)
at oracle.net.ano.AnoComm.i(Unknown Source)
at oracle.net.ano.SupervisorService.a(Unknown Source)
at oracle.net.ano.Service.c(Unknown Source)
at oracle.net.ano.Ano.negotiation(Unknown Source)
at oracle.net.ns.NSProtocol.connect(NSProtocol.java:443)
Connections from this same application to other database servers where TLS/SSL setup has been done do not present the issue. It occurs only against a particular database.
