Last updated on MAY 05, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle WebLogic Server - Version 12.2.1.1.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Why does my WebLogic Server Java process consume more memory than the configured max heap size ? (Xmx value)
For example: WLS Admin Server is configured to have a max heap size of 1024M

But you see that the resident memory is higher than the max allocated heap size (Xmx value)  (Both the values are highlighted in bold)
