OUD 11g: DIP DIPConfigurator Fails with Error: Could not find or load main class oracle.ldap.odip.install.DIPConfigurator (Doc ID 2288815.1)

Symptoms

 OUD 11g 11.1.2.3 is installed and up and running fine.  DIP 11.1.1.9 is configured in OUD and the OUD is the backend directory for DIP.

In the process of configuration dipConfigurator is run with below details to register OUD back-end directory with ODIP. 

The WLS Hostname , WLS user, OUD hostname, OUD non-ssl LDAP port , OUD LDAP user, OUD LDAP Admin port are specified in the below.

In Doing so it throws below error.

$ORACLE_HOME/bin/dipConfigurator setup -wlshost <LDAP_HOSTNAME> -wlsport <WLS_PORT> -wlsuser <WLS_USER> -ldaphost <LDAP_HOSTNAME> ldapport <LDAP_PORT> -ldapuser "cn=<DS_ADMIN>" -ldapadminport <ADMIN_PORT> -isldapssl false -isclustered true
Error: Could not find or load main class oracle.ldap.odip.install.DIPConfigurator

ORACLE_HOME, WL_HOME and JAVA_HOME are set as below for example. This path setting might be different for your environment.

export ORACLE_HOME=$MW_HOME/OUD/Oracle_OUD1    ---> This is OUD ORACLE_HOME

export JAVA_HOME=/usr/java/jdk1.7.0_80

export WL_HOME=$MW_HOME/Oracle/Middleware/wlserver_10.3
