SpacesUnauthorizedException Importing the WebCenter Portal application (Doc ID 2290335.1)

Symptoms


When importing the WebCenter Portal application using Fusion Middleware Control, 
the following error is returned:

oracle.sysman.emSDK.app.exception.EMSystemException
   at oracle.sysman.emai.model.workplace.WorkplaceJMXUtil.handleMBeanException(WorkplaceJMXUtil.java:161)
   at oracle.sysman.emai.model.workplace.WorkplaceJMXUtil.handleMBeanException(WorkplaceJMXUtil.java:173)
   at oracle.sysman.emai.pagemodel.workplace.WebCenterAppImportPageModel.doImport(WebCenterAppImportPageModel.java:226)
   at oracle.sysman.emai.view.workplace.WebCenterAppImportViewBean.doImport(WebCenterAppImportViewBean.java:117)

Caused by: java.rmi.UnmarshalException: Problem finding error class; nested exception is: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: Failed to load class oracle.webcenter.spaces.operations.SpacesUnauthorizedException

Caused by: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: Failed to load class oracle.webcenter.spaces.operations.SpacesUnauthorizedException

STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Export the WebCenter Portal application to an Archive.

    • Access the Fusion Middleware Control as an administrator user.

    • Navigate to the home page for WebCenter Portal.

    • From the WebCenter Portal menu, select Application Export and export to an ear file.

  2. Import the WebCenter Portal application to another instance.

    • Access the Fusion Middleware Control as an administrator user.
    • Navigate to the home page for WebCenter Portal.

    • From the WebCenter Portal menu, select Application Import and import the ear file.
