Last updated on FEBRUARY 29, 2024

Applies to:

Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Scenario:

1) 2 multihomed machines

x.x.x.133/hostname04 & x.x.x.136/hostname04i are mulithomed on same machine
x.x.x.134/hostname05 & x.x.x.137/hostname05i are mulithomed on same machine

2) 2 Sites clusters

x.x.x.133/hostname04 & x.x.x.134/hostname05 in Sites cluster A
x.x.x.136/hostname04i & x.x.x.137/hostname05i in Sites cluster B

Problem:

The Sites Cluster Info screen, is showing incorrect peer.  For example the hostname05i.example.com:17003 node in Sites cluster B, Cluster Info screen shows following incorrect remote peer:

Url field shows x.x.x.133
Guid field shows hostname04/x.x.x.133

The problem is that hostname04/x.x.x.133 is not part of the Sites cluster B.  The remote peer should be x.x.x.136/hostname04i
