"ORA-00942: table or view does not exist" During Temporary Table Drop Step in ODI Job (Doc ID 2299825.1)

Symptoms

In Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) there may be a failed step that performs a drop of C$, I$, C$, etc temporary table. For example, the SQL code may look similar to this:

drop table ODI_DB."C$_0tablename"

It results in the following error message:

ODI-1228: Task SrcSet0 (Loading) fails on the target ORACLE connection ODI_CONN.
Caused By: java.sql.SQLSyntaxErrorException: ORA-00942: table or view does not exist

The next step in the job is to create a table by the same name.
