SAML SSO with OBIEE 12212 Goes into Infinite Redirect Loop (Doc ID 2303831.1)

Symptoms

After configuring SAML with third party IDP (Identity Provider) and WebLogic SP (Service Provider) it is found that the BI application goes into an infinite redirect loop after IDP login.

This issue was not observed on a sample application deployed in the same environment.

Modifications to analytics application for SSO was verified and the following parameter is also set :

As suggested in KM Note 2022531.1

This issue is only observed in OBIEE 12212.
