Symptoms

In Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) 12c, the following command is executed as a Load Plan step to initiate an email pull:

The task, which is expected to only take a matter of seconds, sits in Running status indefinitely unless manually stopped. The command hangs in one environment, and works in another with the same input emails.
