Datasource With JDBC And UCP Causes Ora-0900 Error (Doc ID 2307546.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 30, 2023

Applies to:

JDBC - Version 12.1.0.2.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On : 12.1.0.2.0 version, Thin JDBC driver

When using a datasource in Tomcat for connections from a Vertex application with JDBC and UCP, statements get truncated causing the error:

java.sql.SQLSyntaxErrorException: ORA-00900: invalid SQL statement

If UCP is not used and the JNDI is used with the standard pool factory, the error does not occur. That is, using standard JDBC (no JNDI datasource), the issue does not occur.
The issue only occurs when implementing a JNDI datasource using UCP.
