How to Resolve "LIBTUX_CAT:6050: ERROR: Decrypted Protected Field Has Non-displayable Characters"?
(Doc ID 2308856.1)
Last updated on SEPTEMBER 09, 2024
Applies to:
Oracle Tuxedo - Version 12.1.3 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
Two tuxedo nodes in production environment. Both Tuxedo nodes are equal and independent (both are master nodes, both run the same configuration and services).
Both Tuxedo nodes started throwing the LIBTUX_CAT:6050 error on Tuxedo ULOG log file when trying to restart some application servers (different binaries that are on the same Tuxedo GROUP. They use the same TMS_ORA and OPENINFO configuration)
Had to execute a Tuxedo "tmloadcf -y <ubb_config_file>" command, and then the "tmboot -y" worked and the problem was solved.
Need to know the cause of the error to avoid it if it occurs again.
