Last updated on FEBRUARY 09, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Application Express (APEX) - Version 3.2.1 and later
Oracle REST Data Services - Version 2.0 and later
Oracle HTTP Server - Version 11.1.1.0.0 and later
Oracle WebLogic Server - Version 10.3.6 and later
Gen 1 Exadata Cloud at Customer (Oracle Exadata Database Cloud Machine) - Version N/A and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Purpose

An Oracle Application Express (APEX) instance utilizes a web server and database components. In addition, the configuration may also use third party load balancers, proxy servers, SSO servers, LDAP Servers and other infrastructure components. The focus of this article is to provide an approach to trouble shooting APEX / ORDS in complex configurations involving third party software.

Oracle product documentation for APEX and ORDS does not have specific parameters or configuration settings listed for use with third party web servers, proxy servers, Load Balancers, LDAP Servers, SSO servers, etc., because, in general, none should be needed. If there are questions, the best source of information is the third party vendor.
