Unable to delete an Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) object which was previously used in a mapping but later removed from it and a message similar to the following occurs:

The object <object_name> is used in the following mappings. Removing the objects may cause errors or prevent a mapping from working. Are you sure you want to delete this object?

The following is an example to reproduce the issue when the object is a reusable mapping (RU):

  1. Create a reusable mapping RU
  2. Create a mapping MAP and add RU to it
  3. Right click on reusable mapping RU and notice that in "used by" you can see that it is used in mapping MAP
  4. Delete RU from the mapping MAP
  5. Right click on reusable mapping RU and notice that in "used by" the mapping MAP is no longer referenced
  6. Select the reusable mapping RU, attempt to delete and and notice that warning
Please note: This issue can present for any ODI object, as for example a model.
