OID 12c: Upgrading A Collocated 11g Oracle Internet Directory (OID) to 12.2.1.3.0 (With Screenshots) (Doc ID 2317140.1)

Last updated on JANUARY 17, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Internet Directory - Version 12.2.1.3.0 to 12.2.1.3.0 [Release 12c]
Linux x86-64

Purpose

This document provides a walk through for upgrading a Collocated Oracle Internet Directory (OID) 11.1.1.9 (11g Patch Set 7) installation to a Collocated 12.2.1.3.0 (12c Patch Set 3) OID and Domain.  These steps have not been validated against previous patchsets, and are not appropriate for Stand-Alone OID environments, nor are they appropriate for migrating a Stand-Alone OID environment to a Collocated environment, or migrating from a Collocated environment to a Stand-Alone environment.

Scope

The environment documented includes a fully functional OID 11.1.1.9 configured/integrated with a 10.3.6 Weblogic domain, with Oracle Directory Services Manager (ODSM) deployed in the WLS_ODS1 Weblogic Managed Server.

The full steps are documented in the "Fusion Middleware Upgrading Oracle Internet Directory", an online version of which can currently be accessed via the URL:   https://docs.oracle.com/middleware/12213/lcm/FUPIM/toc.htm
