Workspace login and other operations takes a long time due to unindexed manager LDAP attribute. (Doc ID 2317442.1)

Last updated on JUNE 27, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Business Process Management Suite - Version 12.2.1.2.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

The user login to the workspace takes very long time.

After enabling the oracle.soa.services.identity  and the oracle.soa.services.workflow.performance loggers we see that a lot of time is being consumed on an "Interval":

31462 ms(75%) [01:26:34:180-01:26:02:718] - (Interval)

The Identity service logs show that the oracle.tip.pc.services.identity.igf.IGFUserImpl.getDirectReportees() is being executed at that time.

The slowness can even occur during queryTasks or countTasks methods.  Any method that has to interact with the manager can lead to the issue.  Even more details can be gotten by enabling the oracle.ods.virtualization and oracle.igf loggers (in addition to the loggers mentioned above) where the interaction between the soa identity servers and the LDAP take place.
