Domains are normally created using templates.

There are predefined templates which are extension templates that you may use to add resources, services, and applications to a Basic WebLogic Server domain. Create or extend a domain can be easily achieved by using these predefined templates with the Configuration Wizard or WLST.

So the purpose of this note is to provide a reference as to where to find the information about the templates used for the creation of a specific domain.
