iPlanet Web Server Crashes in SSL Handshake (Doc ID 2322927.1)

Symptoms

Web server crashes Intermittently during ssl handshake:

Error log has:

[01/May/2017:15:11:04] info (  179): CORE3274: successful server startup
[01/May/2017:15:11:04] info (  179): for host x.x.x.x trying to POST /netconnect2_0/servlets/NetConnectServlet, wl-proxy reports: Debug is
disabled [OFF]
[01/May/2017:15:15:40] catastrophe (  179): CORE3260: Server crash detected (signal SIGSEGV)
[01/May/2017:15:15:40] info (  179): CORE3262: Crash occurred in function memcpy from module /platform/sun4v/lib/libc_psr.so.1
[01/May/2017:15:15:47] info ( 5624): CORE3050: Spawning replacement for worker process 179

pflag and pstack against core files shows:
