Keytool Certificate Import not Replacing Certificate Chain (Doc ID 2323739.1)

Goal

Used the keytool to renew the Java keystores installed in WebLogic. The keystore contains chained personal certificate. When we import the renewed certificate, it does not replace the expired signers certificate, it replaces only the personal certificate in the chain. Are these expired certificates cached somewhere and if there is a way to replace the chain certificates?

The Java version working with WebLogic version 10.3.6.0:
java version "1.7.0_76"
