Asset Saves in WCS on JCS WCS Fails or Never Completes Saving (Doc ID 2324887.1)

Symptoms

Asset create and save is impacted on contribution environment which is WebCenter Sites on JCS. When an asset is created, the UI is responsive, but about a second after the save is initiated it returns to the UI for the asset's tab, but the red asterisk is still next to the asset tab as if it didn't save. Cannot complete save operation as expected.

There are "javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: Remote host closed connection during handshake" errors present in the log at the time of the issue.
