Logged Error MDS-00013 but no Issues Seen in User Interface (Doc ID 2325979.1)

Seeing logged errors from an ADF Web Application like the following:

MDS-00013: no metadata found for metadata object "/oracle/adf/portlet/<PORTLET_NAME>/ap/<PORTLET_TEST>_<PORTLET_ID>.pxml"

There is no issue in the User Interface of the ADF Web Application that can be matched to this message.

Deployed a custom ADF Web application created in JDeveloper.
