Unable to Delete or Update Custom Attributes Created Using Rest API (Doc ID 2328326.1)

Symptoms

Using the REST API, user is able to create a custom attribute in Portal.
However, when the custom attribute is deleted/updated via the GUI or REST API, a popup with the following error message is displayed:

WCS#<timestamp>: No Such Attribute Exists

 

Changes

1) Create a new Portal or use an existing one. This Portal may be created via GUI or REST API.

2) Create an attribute in this Portal via REST API.

3) Navigate to Portal GUI (Administration | Settings).

4) Delete or update the newly created attribute (in step 2).

A popup error message is displayed:
