Upgrade Assistant Failed with WLS_RUNTIME Schema Showing INVALID Status and Error 'ORA-28001: The Password Has Expired' (Doc ID 2330513.1)

Symptoms

OBIEE is upgraded from 12.2.1 to 12.2.1.2 version.
If fails with error in upgrade log (ua<timestamp>.log)

[ERROR] [UPGAST-00214] [upgrade.Framework] [tid: <tid>] [ecid: <ecid>] Unable to connect to database as the schema user "TEST_WLS_RUNTIME".
java.sql.SQLException: ORA-28001: the password has expired

  

 

Executing below query shows

SQL> select comp_id,comp_name,version, status, upgraded from schema_version_registry;
