Last updated on MAY 04, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Tuxedo - Version 12.1.3 to 12.2.2 [Release 12c]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

User wants solutions for the two IBM MQ related problems user ran into:

First Problem:
User has not been able to configure OPENINFO to pick up a second hostname for the MQ standby instance.

User would like to know if is there a way to configure Tuxedo with TMS for XA transactions work with IBM MQ configured as multi instances?

For instance, configure OPENINFO with two hosts for one queue manager.

Second Problem:
The client code of MQ will not reconnect after an interrupt in the MQ communication.
Even when user tried to set reconnect_q_manager as default in the MQ client configure.
From the MQ client trace it told user “Session not reconnectable”.
The application that tried to open a queue got the following error:
“QueueManager: cannot open queue ADAPTER_IN reasoncode MQRC_CONNECTION_BROKEN(2009)”
