Not Able To Set The Password For OSR In The Database With More Than 8 Characters Of Length (Doc ID 2340585.1)

Symptoms


After the successful installation of OSR 11.1.1.6.0, the initial password was changed by the DBA with respect to the security policies (more than 8 characters). This caused the unavailability of the registry with the error reported below.
Then the password was changed back to one with 8 characters in order to restore the service.

ERROR
-----------------------

ERROR: application_core:com.systinet.uddi.config.CipherHelper - Cannot decrypt value (Input length must be multiples of 8).
EXCEPTION: Input length must be multiples of 8
javax.crypto.IllegalBlockSizeException: Input length must be multiples of 8


Due to this issue, it is not possible to set a more secure password.
