"ODI-10181: Uncategorized configuration exception" Error Received After Upgrade from ODI 11g to ODI 12c when Repositories Are on IBM DB2 (Doc ID 2341692.1)

Symptoms

After upgrading Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) version 11.1.1.9.0 to ODI 12c, attempting to login to ODI Studio and connect to the Work Repository fails with error:

The ODI Master and Work Repositories are running on IBM DB2 database version 10.5.0.3, FP3.

The original source Repositories were successfully upgraded from ODI 10g to ODI 11.1.1.9.0.

Connecting only to the Master Repository (and not the Work Repository) works as well.
