Cannot Use JDBC Resource For Batch if it has Multiple JNDI Name
(Doc ID 2344537.1)
Last updated on AUGUST 25, 2023
Applies to:
Oracle WebLogic Server - Version 12.2.1.0.0 to 12.2.1.2.0 [Release 12c]Information in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
In Weblogic 12.2.1, if a WebLogic JDBC datasource is mapped to multiple JNDI names, the DomainConfigBatch page, does not list the JNDI names as an LOV. Instead, it displays the two JNDI names as one string. This leads to the error "runtimeexception:could not instantiate com.ibm.jbatch.container.impl.batchkernel"
Example :
1. Create jdbc resource with two JNDI name e.g. jdbc/name1 + jdbc/name2
2. Configure batch, see <http://docs.oracle.com/middleware/1221/wls/WLACH/taskhelp/domainconfig/ConfigureBatch.html>
