ORA-00942 Trying to Expand "Scheduler" --> "DBMS Jobs" in SQL Developer (Doc ID 2344946.1)

Symptoms

In SQL Developer using a non-DBA account and trying to expand "Scheduler --> DBMS Jobs", fails with the following error.

 

"ORA-00942: table or view does not exist" 


It works with a privileged used like SYSTEM.
 

Steps to reproduce

1. Launch SQL Developer.
2. Login with non-DBA user.
3. Expand Scheduler under connection and then try to expand "DBMS jobs" tree.
