Search Results are Incorrect if Clicked out of Manager Search Pane and Re-Entered

Symptoms

Search of user using anything besides "Display Name" returns no results if multiple modifies are done.

Steps to reproduce
--------------------
Click the first user.
Click “Modify”
Begin attempt to search for Manager using Last Name
- Do not submit
Return to the Users tab.
Click the second user.
Click “Modify”
Search for Manager using Last Name
Submit the modification.
Go back to previous search to find and select the same manager.
No results come back from the search.
